Anjeer Halwa Recipe|How to Make Anjeer Halwa|Fig Halwa Recipe|Anjeer /Fig Halwa without Sugar|Fig Halwa using brown sugar

Figs are the oldest fruit consumed by humans and has a number of benefits. It can be eaten dry or fresh it has a sweet taste and has a number of small seeds in it. Figs are also called Anjeer. Fig is a high source of calcium, potassium, fiber content and low fat its a must to add figs to your diet for healthy living.
Figs consumed daily gives skin a healthy glow and are added in traditional medicines due to its great medicinal value.
I was discovering a healthy and yet tasty recipe using fig because my little son refused to eat this nutritious fruit. On my journey in finding an exact delightful recipe has come true today, I have made a sweet using this fig. It's a yummy mouth watering Halwa recipe.

Ingredients Required:
Dry fig/Anjeer - 15 nos
Milk-1/2 cup
Raisins - 10-20
Cashews-10
Badam-10
Tutti Frutti- 2 tsp
Cardamon-1
Ghee-5 to 6tsp

Step 1:
Soak the dry figs/Anjeer in water overnight, the figs will be swollen well and become soft. Grind these figs in a mixer with little water make it into a fine paste.














Step 2:
Heat a non-stick pan or a hard bottle pan with 1 tsp ghee and fry the raisins, almonds, cashews, Tutti fruity(its ready-made available in stores its made from papaya) and keep them aside.











Step 3:
Add ghee to the same pan and add the Anjeer/figs paste to it, stir for some time can add little water if the mixture is very thick, Add half cup of milk to the mixture.


Step 4:

Add brown Sugar(Jaggery sugar) to this and stir well. let the mixture of milk, figs, and sugar dissolve and combine well, cook on a medium flame let it boil well don't let it burn.

Step 5: 
The mixture combines well now add 1 piece Cardamom, Cashews, raisins, Tutti Frutti, Almonds to this and stir well adding 2 spoons ghee without burning the pan, Stir well keeping the stove on medium flame. 

Step 6:
Keep note of the consistency it should become thick leave the ghee to the sides and doesn't stick to the sides and comes with the spoon. Switch off the flame. Pour 1 tsp ghee over it and transfer to another container. Halwa is now ready to be served..!
This recipe is best when served hot, Kids will love this recipe its a great treat for kids who do not like to eat figs..It's a nutrition rich recipe. As far as possible please try to avoid using white sugar. Try and comment!!Thank you..




Pot Kulfi Homemade|Icecream with Milk|Tasty Kulfi recipe


Milk is a rich source of protein. The human body is in need of milk and its properties throughout their life as it is useful for all ages and groups.it helps in Building and Maintaining bones and teeth.
pistachios are rich in potassium, vitamin B6 and antioxidants.

Ingredients Required
Full fat milk- 1 liter
Sugar - 3/4 cups
Custard powder - 1tsp
Pistachios-5-6
Almonds - 5
Cardamon powder-1/2 tsp 

Step 1:
Boil milk in a hard bottle pan until 1 liter of milk becomes 1/2 liter its consistency becomes thick. Stir the sides of the pan, cook on medium flame do not burn.

Step 2:
Take a small bowl and add 1 tsp of custard powder and add 2 tsp of boiling milk to it mix well, it becomes pale yellow colour liquid gently pour this liquid into the boiling milk stir continuously to avoid lumps. Reduce the flame to low.

Step 3:
Take a clean dry mixie jar and add the pista and almonds with 1 tsp of sugar and grind into a coarse powder.

Step 4:
Add 3/4 cup of sugar to the thick milk and stir well. Add the ground pista almond powder and cardamom powder to it. It becomes a thick, its done our pot kulfi is ready.

Step 5:
Transfer this to a mud kulfi pot and refrigerate. Yummy tasty kulfi is ready to be served..Pista and almonds can be added as toppings.












Moong Dal snacks|Easy Recipe|Healthy Dal Recipe

Moong dal is an excellent source of proteins. It has high fiber content and regulates blood sugar. Moong dal has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties which are successful in fighting away harmful bacteria.

Ingredients required:
Moong dal - 1/2 cup
oil
Salt
Contains 2 versions microwave and deep fry methods.

Step 1:
Take 1/2 cup of moong dal and soak them in water for half an hour.











Step 2:
After 1/2 an hour strain the water and place the moong dal in a towel to absorb the extra water dry it in the fan.
















Step 3:
Method 1:
Fry the moong dal using a pan with oil and take the moong dal with fry spoon with mesh.
or
Method 2:
 You can microwave the moong dal for 5min in microwave high with a microwave safe bowl with 1 spoon of oil mixed with dal.












Step 5:
Sprinkle some salt over the dal..

Thats all the moong dal snack is ready...!! Instead of buying the packed snacks please go for this.its simple and very healthy.



Tomato Jam:Healthy Homemade Jam..No color No preservatives!!!

Tomatoes are red, juicy and tasty. Tomatoes are the major dietary source of the antioxidant lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. 

Instead of using readymade jam with harmful preservatives and colours Lets make a simple and easy Jam recipe.

Today's recipe yummy tasty Jam using Tomatoes I bet ur kids will love it..😉











TOMATO JAM

Ingredients Required:

Tomatoes-4 nos
Ghee-2tsp
Jaggery/sugar-1cup
Vanilla essence-1tsp
Cardamon powder-1/2 tsp      

Step 1:
Take 4 ripe large tomatoes, wash and mark "x" on the back of the tomato with a knife and boil them in a pan of water for 5 min.




















Step 2:
Drain the water and pour chilled water to the tomatoes, peel off the skin and add them to a mixer jar and blend smoothly into a puree.



























Step 3:
Heat a pan on stove add 2tsp of ghee and add the tomato puree to it stir it for sometime till the raw smell vanish.











Step 4:
I have used Jaggery instead of sugar(if using sugar add it directly to the tomato puree)Dissolve the jaggery in small quanity of water and boil it and stain to remove impurities.


Step 5:
Add the Jaggery water/sugar into the tomato puree and allow it to boil well in medium flame. The mixture starts to thicken, stir the mixture continuously don't burn.

Step 6:
The mixture becomes thick at this stage add vanilla essence and cardamom powder mix well turn off the flame. Yummy homemade healthy jam is ready..!!

Serve with hot idly, dosa, roti, and chapatis. Jam can be stored in the refrigerator for a week. 😋
