Anjeer Halwa Recipe|How to Make Anjeer Halwa|Fig Halwa Recipe|Anjeer /Fig Halwa without Sugar|Fig Halwa using brown sugar

Figs are the oldest fruit consumed by humans and has a number of benefits. It can be eaten dry or fresh it has a sweet taste and has a number of small seeds in it. Figs are also called Anjeer. Fig is a high source of calcium, potassium, fiber content and low fat its a must to add figs to your diet for healthy living.
Figs consumed daily gives skin a healthy glow and are added in traditional medicines due to its great medicinal value.
I was discovering a healthy and yet tasty recipe using fig because my little son refused to eat this nutritious fruit. On my journey in finding an exact delightful recipe has come true today, I have made a sweet using this fig. It's a yummy mouth watering Halwa recipe.

Ingredients Required:
Dry fig/Anjeer - 15 nos
Milk-1/2 cup
Raisins - 10-20
Cashews-10
Badam-10
Tutti Frutti- 2 tsp
Cardamon-1
Ghee-5 to 6tsp

Step 1:
Soak the dry figs/Anjeer in water overnight, the figs will be swollen well and become soft. Grind these figs in a mixer with little water make it into a fine paste.














Step 2:
Heat a non-stick pan or a hard bottle pan with 1 tsp ghee and fry the raisins, almonds, cashews, Tutti fruity(its ready-made available in stores its made from papaya) and keep them aside.











Step 3:
Add ghee to the same pan and add the Anjeer/figs paste to it, stir for some time can add little water if the mixture is very thick, Add half cup of milk to the mixture.


Step 4:

Add brown Sugar(Jaggery sugar) to this and stir well. let the mixture of milk, figs, and sugar dissolve and combine well, cook on a medium flame let it boil well don't let it burn.

Step 5: 
The mixture combines well now add 1 piece Cardamom, Cashews, raisins, Tutti Frutti, Almonds to this and stir well adding 2 spoons ghee without burning the pan, Stir well keeping the stove on medium flame. 

Step 6:
Keep note of the consistency it should become thick leave the ghee to the sides and doesn't stick to the sides and comes with the spoon. Switch off the flame. Pour 1 tsp ghee over it and transfer to another container. Halwa is now ready to be served..!
This recipe is best when served hot, Kids will love this recipe its a great treat for kids who do not like to eat figs..It's a nutrition rich recipe. As far as possible please try to avoid using white sugar. Try and comment!!Thank you..
